If you are looking for a party, our Crab Island trip is the way to go. We will leave early as it takes about 2 hours to get there by boat. We will cruise you up along the coast and you can enjoy fun in the sun without having a care in the world. You'll enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast as we ride East up the intercoastal and catch glimpses of our native wild life. You may see dolphins, sea birds, turtles, sharks and other species. Enjoy the ocean breeze and catch some rays. There are also places to stop and swim or dine at some of the fine establishments along the way. When we get to Crab Island in Destin, Captain Jesse will find a good spot to anchor up and you can jump on in to join the party.
The place gets pretty packed but there is endless fun to be had for all. We'll play the tunes you like and Capt Jesse will have a grill ready and will happily cook the food you brought for your party. This is a full day trip that will cater up to 8 people. Be prepared to spend about 8 hours round trip. 4 hours traveling up the coast and 4 hours to party at the beach!
Crab Island isn’t even an island at all! The area known as Crab Island is actually just a sandbar in the middle of Destin’s East Pass where locals and visitors alike, will anchor up and walk around, swim in and play in the crystal clear waters that are only 2 to 5 feet deep.
It's basically a party in the middle of the sea! On any given summer day, you will find hundreds of boats and people hanging out together. It's definitely an eye catcher for passers by as they head over the bridge from Okaloosa Island into Destin, wondering how they too can join in on the fun.
At Crab Island you can anchor down, walk over and buy drinks and food from the restaurant barge, flag down a local selling ice cream and even get a hot pizza pie all while meeting other fun strangers who are there to have a great time. There is a huge water trampoline and inflatable water slide for all the kids, or kids at heart!
Be sure to pack a mask and snorkel, football or a frisbee! There is always something for everyone at Crab Island. Even if you stay on the boat, the people watching will have you smiling from ear to ear. Crab Island is a favorite among locals. Not everyone has the luxury of having a boat to see what all the fuss is about. That's why hiring Gulf Life Charters to take you for the day is a great idea.
